Buddie Livingston – Drilling and Operations
Mr. Buddie Livingston has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as an oil and gas operator, drilling consultant and project supervisor. He has extensive experience with high pressure wells, snubbing operations, horizontal wells, underbalanced drilling and managed pressure drilling projects. He has supervised drilling and completion design and drilling operations around the world, both onshore and offshore, including Equatorial Guinea, the Gulf of Mexico, the Far East, Fayetteville Shale, Permian Basin, Delaware Basin, Mississippi Lime and several other key basins throughout the U.S. He also has experience in the design, installation and operation of secondary waterflood projects. During the last several years, Mr. Livingston has been the Manager of Black Oak Energy, LLC, an Oklahoma City based exploration and production company, where he has been responsible for all of the company’s business activities. Mr. Livingston is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Association of Drilling Engineers.
Jim Allen – Drilling/Production Engineering and Operations
Mr. Allen has been involved in all aspects of drilling, completion and day-to-day operations of oil and gas projects. As a drilling engineer, Mr. Allen has extensive experience in planning and drilling both vertical and horizontal wells. He also has experience in planning, installing and operating tank battery facilities and other production related equipment, including oil and gas processing equipment, gathering systems, storage facilities and artificial lift equipment. Mr. Allen worked as a drilling and production engineer for Conoco from 1984 until 1993, where he was involved in the development and operation of EOR projects located in the Permian Basin.
Thereafter, he was a principal at Red Rock Resources, Inc. and then became the Vice President of Operations at Cardinal River Energy Co. and CRECO Operating, LLC, where he was in charge of all of the company’s drilling, completion and daily well operations located in several states. Since 2016, Mr. Allen has owned and managed Twisted Oak Operating, LLC, an Oklahoma based exploration and production operating company. While at Twisted Oak, Mr. Allen has been instrumental in planning, developing and operating the West Goldsby Osborn Unit, a 1500-acre waterflood project located in Goldsby, OK. In 1984, Mr. Allen received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Allen is a member of The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma.
Terry Allen – Petroleum Engineer, Drilling, Completions and Operations
Mr. Allen graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for Gulf Oil (Chevron) for 13 years as a Production and Completions Engineer in various areas in Oklahoma and Mississippi. In 1995 he joined Red Rock Resources, LLC. While at Red Rock he helped develop oil and gas properties in Oklahoma from the early stages of prospect review and capital raise through drilling, completions and operations of vertical wells in various parts of the state. In 2012 Mr. Allen joined Cheyenne Petroleum Co. based in Oklahoma City where he worked initially as the Operations Manager and later as Vice President of Drilling, Completions and Operations. Cheyenne operated 130 horizontal Eagleford Shale wells and 19 Sycamore horizontal wells in Southern Oklahoma.
During his 12-year tenure at Cheyenne Petroleum, he also supervised the development of a new sub- station, electric feeders and 18 miles of three phase electricity in La Salle and Frio Counties, Texas. On the power demand side, Mr. Allen led a group of South Texas operators and midstream companies to design and build out this power distribution asset. The project participants were EOG, Comstock, Cabot, Cheyenne, NuStar and EF Energy. In 2024 he participated in the sale of all Cheyenne Petroleum assets in both Oklahoma and Texas. The property sale closed in October 2024 to Crescent Energy (Texas assets) and Mach (Oklahoma assets). Mr. Allen joined Twisted Oak Energy Services, LLC in October 2024 as a Partner and consultant.
Jay Jimerson – Land, Legal and Insurance Advisor
Mr. Jimerson obtained a BBA in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma in 1981, and he received a law degree from the OU School of Law in 1984. While attending OU, Mr. Jimerson was a defensive back on the OU football team. In 1981, he was a recipient of the Big 8 Conference Medal and was named to the 1981 CoSIDA Academic All-American Team. After graduating from OU, Mr. Jimerson practiced as an energy lawyer until 1996. Thereafter, he became general counsel and a managing partner of eCORP, LLC, a Houston based energy firm. While at eCORP, Mr. Jimerson was involved in the development and marketing of underground natural gas storage assets and other energy related assets. In 2006, Mr. Jimerson joined Cardinal River Energy Co., an independent oil and natural gas company, He was later named president of the company and was responsible for supervising all of the company’s strategic initiatives. In 2019, he moved into the role of manager and general counsel. He has substantial experience in oil and gas operations, including oil and gas marketing, mid-stream operations, risk management, insurance, land, legal and environmental matters.
Mr. Jimerson has been the past President of the Mineral Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and he is a Member of the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Executive Energy MBA program at the University of Oklahoma’s Price Business College, where he teaches hydrocarbon value chain and hydrocarbon law courses. He is also a graduate Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management Program.
Michael Proctor Jr.
Mr. Proctor has over 35 years of experience in completion and workover operations in multiple states. During his career he has also supervised the plugging and abandonment of wells to depths exceeding 18,000 feet MD in both conventional and unconventional plays. Mr. Proctor’s experience includes specialized training with downhole equipment including packers, plugs and gravel pack systems. He is experienced in stage frac, stage perforating, coil tubing drill out and snubbing operations in vertical and horizontal wellbores. Mr. Proctor has been involved in staged frac operations exceeding 50 stages of completions with high temperature and extreme pressure in the Fayetteville, Haynesville, Mississippi Lime and Woodford shale plays. He has performed flow backs exceeding 1,000 bph, drilling out COBPs with coil tubing or jointed pipe snubbing operations (stand alone and rig assist) under high pressure and high temperature. He has experience in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Mr. Proctor is proficient in Microsoft Office, Drill well, Peloton Well view, and DIMS reporting systems.
Mr. Proctor currently works as a completion and production consultant for both horizontal and conventional completions in the Mid-Continent region. He graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He is also a member of IADC with AADE Well Cap Well Control training and is certified in high pressure snubbing and coiled tubing operations. He completed Schlumberger’s Stimulation and Cementing Practices School with a Field Engineer III Level.
Terry Valentine – Drilling/Production Engineering/Operations/Project Coordination & Advisor
Mr. Terry Valentine has over 44 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as an oil and gas operator, drilling/completion consultant and project supervisor. He has supervised onshore drilling and completion design and operations from South Florida to New Mexico, including the Permian Basin, Delaware Basin and several other key basins throughout the U.S. He also has experience in the design, installation and operation of secondary waterflood projects in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, as well as enhanced oil recovery projects (firefloods) primarily in Louisiana. As a Senior District Engineer with Energen Resources Corp. from 2005 until 2016 he was responsible for all engineering activities and operations in emerging plays and ventures, including horizontal drilling and completion of extended laterals in shales in the Delaware and Midland Basins of West Texas.
Mr. Valentine has significant experience preparing engineering appraisals and providing recommendations for potential acquisitions that were successfully completed. He has also performed reserve studies, economic analysis and evaluation of investment and drilling properties. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Valentine was Production Manager for Palmer Petroleum, Inc., during which time he was responsible the coordination and implementation of drilling, completion, and workover activities for several hundred wells operated in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisana, Texas and Kansas. During the last several years, Mr. Valentine has performed various engineering, economic and acquisition evaluations for various clients for properties located in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Illinois and New Mexico. Mr. Valentine received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mineral Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1979, and in 1992 he received a Master of Business Administration from Samford University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
